Back Packing / Nature WalksTake a stroll along an array of 25 miles of private trails on the ranch or hike a million acres in the Pine Island State Forest and Big Bog area. (See footage below) Our trails wind and dip along five waterways consisting of the Black River, the South Fork, and Garner Rivers, with Hay and Mayo Creeks running into these as well. The novice hiker easily explores the trails. The Boreal Forests and Riparian habitats, (fields, to forests, to streams) are the home to many creatures big and small. If you take time to look and study, you will be fascinated with the variety, from the dense forests, to the lush vegetation, to the abundant species of birds. Nestled among the trees, delight in the scent of flowers, or enjoy the simplicity and freshness of the fields. All guests are welcome to explore on their own or schedule a guided trip.
For the hardy, over night trips can be arranged. Equipment can be provided with reservations. Ask about the appropriate outer- wear needed in accordance to the season. We can accommodate hiking for all age groups, and length of your walk.
We have transportation for those who are physically unable to walk but want to see the sights. Travel by hay wagon,
4-wheeler, horse, or truck.
