Winter Activities at Dancing Sky Ranch

Winter brings new and exciting sights and activities. Snow lays untouched, beautiful as it glistens so white, it blinds you on sunny days.

We enjoy different activities during winter. While Mother Nature never tells us what she will give us, there are always options for different days. The most common things to do are, birding-wildlife watching, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, sleigh rides, horse back riding, weather permitting. Bonfires are a season long enjoyment.

Many inside crafts, can be made, such as wreaths, ule logs, soap making, candle making, bird feeders, (wood & eatable) painting and art projects. Just reading a book, tours of the area, going over local history, shopping all are also great things to do.

As mentioned we have many miles of trails available for snowmobiling, skiing, etc. and will guarantee snow for the longest time of any year. We are three miles from two major trails; he Pelland Birchdale Connection Trail, and the John Beckel Northern Connection trail, these connect to all the trails in Minnesota for thousands of miles of snowmobiling, these trails are groomed and have less traffic than Southern MN. Giving you the true feeling of getting away from it all but still having access to the luxuries of home.

Snowmobiling

We are centrally located between two main groomed trails. The Pelland Birchdale Connection Trail to the north three miles, going from International Falls Mn to Baudette MN and the John Beckel Northern Connection trail six miles south, going from Baudette MN to Big Falls MN.

These trails connect to Hagerman Trail, Blue Ox Trail, Voyageur Trail West, Slatinski Trail, Arrowhead Trail, Lost River Trail, and the Caldwell Brook Trail, in Minnesota for thousands of miles of snowmobiling.

Our guests enjoy well groomed and less traveled trails getting away from the busiest trails, making for safer sledding but still giving you access to all the local towns. Making for a great days ride.

We have for your convienence lodging, gas, food, & beverages. For those staying with us and coming on sled we can drive you to town for supplies. Those staying with us will also enjoy comfort. Our emergency pick up for you and your sled, should you get stranded, fees will apply for emergency pick up.

We have many forestry roads that never get traffic for those who would go on there own and dare to explore our great north.
